“Look, the highest heavens and the earth and everything in it all belong to the Lord your God.”
Deuteronomy 10:14, NLT
On Thursday, April 22, Mrs. Schultz and her First Grade class took part in an Earth Day project. She shared with the class that the world is God’s amazing creation; and as good stewards, they should take care of all that He has created. She presented them with an Earth Day Choice Board for homework. Students were able to choose two activities that they wanted to do. Some of the options were to go on a walk and pick up trash along the way, go on a bug hunt and take a picture of three different kinds of bugs, or take a picture of the recycling bin they use at home. Students commented on the homework project—
“It was so amazing!”
“Can we do this every night for homework?”
“I loved going outside with my family and spending time with them.”
Many thanks to Mrs. Schultz for bringing awareness to her students about the beauty of God’s world and the joy of taking care of it.
