Jennie Smith started  teaching at Faith in 2022. She has a degree from Sauk Valley Community College and is a licensed Kindermusik educator, enabling her to use the “Kindermusik Musicians” year 1 as the foundational curriculum for Faith’s Kindergarden-2nd grade classes.

She is also owner/educator of Out of the Box Music in Dixon and Polo where she teaches private piano lessons, music theory, and beginning voice. Jennie loves making personal connections with her students and watching them grow socially emotionally and spiritually.

When she is not teaching, she loves binge watching a favorite series, getting lost in a good book, or sipping an especially dark and creamy cup of coffee on her back patio just taking in the beauty of God’s goodness in the company of her husband and pets!
