Sue German was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois. She has been in education since 1983 and at FCS since 1985. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois in Elementary Education with an area of concentration in specialized instruction (teaching special needs students in the traditional classroom). She has taught two years in 6th grade, 5 years in 7th grade and the remainder at the high school and junior high levels with social science as her main concentration.
Mrs. German is also involved with the SevenStar online education program at school. She is the Key Club director, and the coordinator of the Senior missions trip. Missions is a particular passion of hers.
Outside of school, she enjoys hiking, gardening, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, traveling and spending time with her husband, her two adult sons (who are both graduates of FCS), daughter-in-law, and grandchikldren. She is also a chaplain with Marketplace Chaplains.
